Run by people who know the ground.
Chromax is led by a team with deep roots in South African mining and processing. Between us, we have decades of operational experience, academic credentials and a shared commitment to ethical, sustainable chrome production.
Leadership
Our leadership team combines technical expertise, social impact focus and operational experience to run a chrome business that is both commercially successful and socially responsible.
Nancy Onwo
A social entrepreneur with 14 years in mining and processing, Nancy leads our community training work — mentoring women and youth toward sustainable businesses in the sector, with the aim of reducing poverty in the communities Chromax operates in.
Currently an MSc and DBA candidate at the Roxbourg Institute of Social Entrepreneurship, Switzerland.
Julien Jandgenon
PhD holder from the University of South Africa. Julien oversees all production operations on-site, from mining and washplant output to lab-level grade control. His academic background ensures our production decisions are backed by rigorous technical analysis.
Responsible for daily production targets, grade compliance and laboratory testing protocols.
Operations team
Behind the leadership are the crews who make production happen every day. Our yellow machine operators, washplant teams and support staff are the backbone of Chromax's output.
Mining crew
Yellow machine operators trained and equipped specifically for chrome mining operations across our Northwest and Limpopo sites.
Washplant team
Dedicated crew running crushing, washing and screening operations to produce consistent 40%–42% chrome concentrate.
Lab technicians
Trained technicians who test incoming ore, monitor process output and certify final products before sale or shipment.
Our values
The team at Chromax operates according to a set of shared values that guide every decision — from how we mine to how we treat our people and communities.
Integrity first
We operate with full statutory documentation, transparent pricing and honest communication with buyers, partners and communities. What you see is what you get.
People matter
From our operators to the women and youth in surrounding communities, we invest in people. Training, mentoring and job creation are not CSR — they're how we build a sustainable business.
Consistency counts
Buyers come back because we deliver what we promise — consistent grade, reliable supply and fair pricing. That reputation was built over years of repeat performance.
Waste is resource
Nothing leaves our site unaccounted for. We see waste as a resource waiting to be unlocked — through rehabilitation, recycling and secondary production.
