Markets

Sold at home. Exported to China.

We've built a stable market for our product base — local buyers for ROM and concentrate, and three international buyers currently taking our concentrate exports. Consistent grade, reliable supply and fair pricing keep buyers coming back.

Local market

South African ferrochrome producers, foundries and processing plants are our primary local buyers. They purchase Chrome ROM directly from our pits at market-related prices, bypassing intermediaries and keeping costs competitive.

Local buyers

Chrome ROM

Supplied as-mined to established local buyers who use ROM as feedstock for their ferrochrome and foundry operations.

  • Grade: 30%–44% Cr₂O₃
  • Volume: 2,000–3,000MT / day
  • Pricing: Market-related, per delivery
Local & export buyers

Chrome Concentrate

Local processors purchase concentrate for downstream beneficiation, while export buyers ship to China for smelter feed.

  • Grade: 40%–42% Cr₂O₃
  • Local processors & 3 international buyers
  • Pricing: Market-related, per shipment

Export market

Our Chrome Concentrate is exported to three international buyers based in China. These buyers supply smelters and manufacturers that produce stainless steel, alloy steel and other chrome-containing products for global markets.

3
International buyers

Three established buyers in China take our concentrate exports on a regular schedule.

China
Primary export destination

All concentrate exports are destined for Chinese smelters and manufacturers.

Reliable
Supply schedule

Consistent production means we can meet shipment timelines and buyer requirements.

Downstream industries

Chrome is a critical input for some of the world's most important industries. Our products reach final users through a clear chain of supply:

Smelting

Chrome concentrate is fed into electric arc furnaces to produce ferrochrome, the key alloying element in stainless steel production.

Manufacturing

Ferrochrome is used by steel manufacturers to produce stainless steel, heat-resistant steel and other specialised alloys.

Automotive

Stainless steel from our supply chain is used in vehicle exhaust systems, trim components and structural parts.

Household goods

Chrome-containing alloys end up in kitchen appliances, cutlery, sinks and other everyday household products.

Pricing approach

Market-related, not fixed.

Both our Chrome ROM and Chrome Concentrate are priced against prevailing market benchmarks. This means buyers pay a fair rate that reflects the actual grade and market conditions — not an arbitrary fixed price.

Benchmark
Pricing basis

Prices are set against current market benchmarks for chrome ore and concentrate, reviewed regularly to stay current.

Grade-linked
Value reflection

Higher-grade ore commands higher prices. Our 40%–42% concentrate reflects its quality advantage over lower-grade material.
